Privacy Policy

Welcome to Monrise, a personal finance app for iPhone by Pixaro Studio. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Financial records you enter: accounts, balances, income, expenses, transfers, categories, budgets, goals, repeating operations, notes, and receipt images you choose to attach. These stay on your device.
- Usage analytics: Mixpanel receives anonymized events about which screens and actions you use. We do not send your account names, amounts, or notes to Mixpanel.
- Subscription status: If you subscribe, Apple processes the payment through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive your card or billing details. Superwall is used to present subscription screens.
- Exchange rates: When you convert an amount or watch a currency pair, the app or its Home Screen widget requests a public rate from Frankfurter. The request includes the currency codes and a date range, not your name or account contents.
- Notifications: Reminders for repeating operations and optional notices when a watched rate moves are scheduled on your device.
- Support messages: If you email us, we receive your address and the message so we can reply.
2. How we use information
- To show your accounts, spending, budgets, goals, charts, reports, widgets, and watched rates.
- To check subscription access through Apple and Superwall.
- To understand which features are used, using anonymized Mixpanel events.
- To fetch exchange rates needed for conversion and rate watching.
- To deliver the local notifications you turned on.
- To answer a support email.
3. Data storage
Your financial records are stored on your iPhone with Core Data and on-device preferences. Home Screen widgets read a snapshot from an App Group shared with the app. That snapshot is not uploaded to a Pixaro server.
If iCloud Backup is on, iOS may include local app data in the system backup. That backup is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
4. Third-party services

5. Permissions
- Camera and Photos: only if you scan or attach a receipt. You can deny access and still enter amounts by hand.
- Notifications: for repeating operations and optional rate notices. You can turn them off in iPhone Settings → Monrise → Notifications.
You can change any permission later in iPhone Settings → Monrise.
6. Children’s privacy
Monrise is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has sent us information and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
Records you create stay on your device. You can delete them in the app or by removing Monrise. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete analytics events or support emails we hold. Write to pixarostudio@outlook.com.
8. Security
Analytics and rate requests are sent over encrypted connections. We do not keep your financial records on our own servers.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the app or the law changes. The date at the top will change. Continuing to use Monrise after an update means you accept the revised policy.
