1. General Provisions

This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected or processed in the Detectra mobile application (hereinafter — the "Application"), available on iPhone. By using the Application, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

2. What is Detectra

Detectra is a privacy detection tool for iPhone. The Application uses three detection modes — a lens detector powered by the iPhone camera with color filters, a magnetic field scanner using the built-in magnetometer, and an acoustic analyzer using the microphone — to help users identify potential hidden surveillance devices in their surroundings. Detectra is a personal awareness tool. It does not claim to replace professional RF sweeping or counter-surveillance equipment.

3. Data Collection

3.1 Data Required for Functionality

The Application may request access to:

• Camera — used by the Lens Detector mode to apply real-time color filters that help visually identify reflective lens surfaces. The live camera feed is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded to any server. Photos captured during a detection session are stored only on your device.
• Microphone — used by the Acoustic Analyzer mode to measure ambient sound and analyze the high-frequency spectrum (10–18 kHz range). Audio is processed locally in real time and is never recorded or transmitted to any server.
• Location — used to tag each saved detection record with GPS coordinates, a reverse-geocoded street address, and a static map preview. Location is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.
• Motion / Magnetometer — used by the Magnetic Field Scanner mode to read electromagnetic field strength from the built-in magnetometer. Sensor data is processed locally on your device.

All permissions are requested via the system dialog and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.

3.2 User-Provided Information

You may voluntarily provide:

• Detection record notes and descriptions
• Messages sent to our support team

3.3 Automatically Collected Information

The Application may automatically collect limited technical information:

• Device type and model
• Operating system version
• Application usage statistics
• Crash reports and error data

This information is used exclusively to maintain and improve the Application.

4. Local Data Storage

All application data is stored locally on your device using CoreData and the local file system:

• Detection records (type, timestamp, sensor readings at time of capture)
• Captured photos from the Lens Detector mode
• GPS coordinates and reverse-geocoded addresses
• Static map preview images for each location
• Application settings and preferences

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

5. Use of Analytics Services

We use Mixpanel, a third-party analytics service, to:

• Analyze feature usage within the Application
• Improve the user experience
• Diagnose errors and crashes
• Improve stability and performance

Mixpanel receives anonymized event data that does not personally identify you and never includes camera frames, audio recordings, sensor readings, or precise location. You can learn more at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

6. Subscription Management

Premium features are unlocked via subscription and managed using Superwall, a paywall and subscription orchestration service. Superwall receives anonymized subscription events (such as which paywall was shown and which plan was selected) but does not have access to your camera feed, audio, sensor data, captured photos, or location. 7. Use of Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the Application's detection features
• Support users and respond to inquiries
• Improve the quality and performance of the Application
• Ensure security and prevent fraud
• Fulfill legal obligations

8. Data Transfer and Disclosure

We do not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties. Transfer is possible only to:

• Service providers necessary for the Application's operation (analytics, paywall orchestration)
• Authorities, when required by applicable law
• In cases necessary to protect rights, safety, or property

9. Location Information

The Application uses location data only to tag detection records with GPS coordinates and to render a static map preview for each record. Location is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers. We may approximately determine the user's region based on IP address or device region settings solely for improving the Application's performance.

10. Camera and Microphone Data

Camera frames and microphone audio are processed entirely on-device in real time. No camera footage or audio is recorded, stored as a media file, or transmitted to any server. Photos captured by the user within the Lens Detector are stored locally on-device only.

11. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Since all detection data, photos, and location records are stored locally on your device and we do not store them on our servers, the risk of unauthorized access to your content is significantly reduced.

12. Children

The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data, please contact us.

13. User Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and Other Laws)

Depending on the legislation of your country, you may have the right to:

• Request access to your data
• Correct your data
• Delete your data
• Restrict or object to processing
• Receive a portable copy of your data

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by removing the Application. To exercise other rights, please contact us at the address below.

14. Subscriptions and Payments

The Application offers premium features via subscription.

Payment Processing: All payments are processed by Apple via the App Store. We:

• Do not have access to your payment card data
• Do not store any payment information
• Receive only anonymized confirmation of a completed purchase

Payment processing is carried out in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy.

Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Managing Your Subscription: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions. Deleting the Application does not cancel an active subscription.

15. Disclaimer

Detectra does not claim to replace professional RF sweeping equipment or counter-surveillance services. It uses the sensors built into your iPhone — camera, magnetometer, and microphone — to help you notice what might otherwise go undetected. Detection results are indicative only and depend on hardware capability and environmental conditions.

16. Changes to the Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The updated version will be published within the Application. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

By using the Application, you confirm your agreement to this Privacy Policy.
