1. General Provisions
This Privacy Policy applies to all information processed in the Routekit mobile application (the "Application"), available on iPhone. By using the Application, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. What the Application Does
Routekit helps users plan trips, mark countries and places on a map, build routes, organise daily plans, manage trip budgets, split shared costs, create savings goals, save travel media and review trip statistics.
3. Data Collection
The Application may process the following categories of data:
- Trip data: destination names, dates, routes, day plans, saved places, map markers, trip notes and packing lists.
- Location-related data: coordinates, city and country names, map regions, route points and saved travel zones that you add or confirm.
- Budget data: trip budget values, exchange rates, expense items, priority labels, split-cost participants and debt settlement records.
- Media data: photos and videos you attach to visited places or trip memories, including related metadata when available.
- Technical data: device model, OS version, app version, crash logs and anonymous diagnostics used to improve stability.
- Support data: information you choose to send when contacting support.
4. Local Storage
Most Routekit content is stored locally on your device to keep your trips, places, plans, budgets and memories available inside the Application. This may include route data, map boundaries, saved places, budget records, packing items, reminders, trip statistics and attached media references.
5. Location, Maps and Geocoding
Routekit uses map and geocoding services to find destinations, show map previews, highlight city or country boundaries and open routes in map applications. Location-related requests may be processed by Apple Maps and OpenStreetMap-related services when you search for places or load map boundaries. The Application does not sell location data.
6. Calendar, Notifications and Media
If you enable related features, Routekit may request access to calendars, notifications, photos or videos. These permissions are used only for the feature you choose: calendar trip sync, travel reminders, packing notifications and attaching media to memories or places. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings.
7. Analytics
We use Mixpanel to understand feature usage, improve product stability and detect technical issues. Mixpanel receives event-level analytics data that does not directly identify you. Learn more at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
8. Subscription Services
The Application uses Superwall for paywall presentation and subscription flow orchestration. Superwall may process anonymous paywall and purchase-flow events. Learn more at superwall.com/privacy.
9. Payments
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Subscription renewal and cancellation are managed in iOS Settings.
10. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared only with service providers required for Application functionality, analytics, diagnostics, map search or when legally required.
11. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information handled by the Application. No digital system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we limit processing to what is needed for the product experience.
12. Children
The Application is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact us for review.
13. Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your data. You may also request additional details via the contact email below.
14. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Application after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
