Welcome to Lumivo. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our iOS application. Please read this policy carefully.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our services:
- Media access: Lumivo accesses your photo library and videos only when you grant permission. We do not upload or store your personal media on our servers.
- Usage analytics: We use Mixpanel to collect anonymized in-app usage data, such as which features you use and how often. This data helps us improve the app experience. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
- Subscription data: If you subscribe to Lumivo Premium, transaction data is processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information directly.
- Support communications: If you contact us via the in-app support form or email, we receive your email address and the content of your message solely to respond to your inquiry.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide core app functionality (video trimming, Live Photo creation, timelapse, text overlay).
- To process and validate your subscription status via Apple's StoreKit.
- To analyze anonymized usage patterns and improve our app features.
- To respond to support requests you send to us.
- To display personalized or contextual paywalls using Superwall SDK.
3. Third-Party Services
Lumivo integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

4. Data Storage and Security
All media processing (video trimming, frame selection, export) is performed entirely on your device. Your videos and photos are never uploaded to our servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data we do collect.
App preferences and subscription status are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage (UserDefaults). This data does not leave your device unless synced via iCloud, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
5. Face Data
Lumivo does not collect, process, analyze, store, or share face data. The app does not perform face recognition, facial landmark detection, biometric identification, or any profiling based on facial characteristics. Any media edits you make are processed locally on your device, and no face-related data is transmitted to our servers or to third parties.
6. Permissions We Request
- Photo Library (Read & Write): Required to access your videos for creating Live Photos and to save finished results back to your camera roll.
You may revoke any of these permissions at any time from your iPhone Settings → Lumivo.
7. Children's Privacy
Lumivo is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. To exercise any such rights, please contact us at luminityapple@gmail.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
